&&_welcome to Vacant Heights, a 'fairly' interesting Wolf RPG. I know you might be groaning and thinking to yourself: "even they think they're mediocre!" Well, we don't necessarily think we're mediocre, but we don't exactly have much new, fresh material to add to the genre of fantasy wolf roleplaying. We're not gonna lie to you and call ourselves a 'unique' roleplaying game, like some of those other people, but we hope you'll give us a chance, anyhow! We provide a friendly, fun atmosphere for roleplayers of all levels!

((Okay, I'mma just wing it here and go ahead. If I've done something wrong, to my minimal knowledge I have not, then please tell me so.))
"Well I do believe this summer has been a wonderful one, wouldn't you agree?" Asked a large gray wolf to seemingly nobody. He nodded his head in agreement turning away from the mound of dirt.
"Yes indeed, prey has been plentiful recently." He agreed, taking a bite out of the frog at his paws. He absentmindedly got up and walked over to one of the many sink pits in the area, the smell of death was thick in the air. "How was your day? Good? Excellent. Me? I went exploring a little more today and I caught a really tasty frog." He paused. "No...I didn't bring you any."
This wolf was named Silas, and his friends were corpses rotting in the earth.

Cyriko wandered through the graveyard aimlessly. She had gotten bored of staying around the Gloaming Swamp, and figured it would be best if she went for a walk. Her ears pricked as she heard the distant sound of somewolf saying something. She sniffed the air and was surprised to only smell the scent of but one wolf, a non-Vaxer, and the stench of dead things. Curious, Cyriko wandered closer to the sound of the yapping. She peered around a burial mound and saw a gray wolf sitting there, babbling to no one.
Maybe he's got the madness... Cyriko thought.
"Um, who are you?" she barked to him, coming as close to the lone wolf as she dared.

Silas' head jerked upwards and turned to the voice. His eyes wide, he stood up. It was a wolf. A living wolf. He hadn't seen one in a year or more. He thought for a moment. "I am Silas." He introduced himself. He began approaching the she-wolf. He wanted a friend, oh how he longed for one friend.
((keep in mind he is probably much larger, making him a bit intimidating...))

Cyriko backed away as he got up and started approaching her. This wolf was huge compared to her. Even though he didn't seem to be showing any aggressive signs, she was still cautious. She blinked and looked around, the fur on the back of her neck bristling slightly. "Um, I'm Cyriko," she said quietly, her eyes darting back and forth.

"Cyriko." Silas repeated thoughtfully. He saw her backing away a bit, and he felt a pang of sadness. Why was she trying to get away. "Please don't go away. I haven't seen a living wolf in more than a year, I just wanna friend..." He begged, approaching her.

She could sense the sadness coming from the larger wolf and she stopped backing up, feeling rather sorry for him. She stood still as he approached her and tilted her head to the side. "What are you doing here all alone?" she asked. "I suppose that's kind of a silly question, since you seem like a lone wolf, and lone wolves are often -- well -- alone." Cyriko's tail was wagging back and forth, a friendly gesture.

"Well...I suppose those mounds of dirt and the stuff in the sinkpits are your dead packmates. They are my friends. I talk to them, considering I have no one else to talk to." He explained, sitting down once again. She seemed to be unafraid now, and he was happy once more. "So yes, I am talking to dead people a lot...The one in the sink pit by the tree won't stop bothering me about bringing him back a frog when I go hunting."

"Oh, that's interesting," Cyriko murmured, looking around at the mounds and the bubbling sinkpits. "So, you talk to my dead packmates -- and they talk back?" She wasn't quite sure what to make of the whole thing, but Silas seemed friendly enough, so she had no reason to run away. She licked her muzzle and yawned slightly, blinking as she looked over the larger wolf for the umpteenth time.

"Yes, they talk back." Silas replied, staring at the mounds of dirtfor a moment. This wolf was pretty nice. He did have a friend now, he hoped. "So, are you a loner too? Or are you in one of the packs that I've seen going around here?"

"I belong to the Vaxer Pack," she said, looking rather bewildered when Silas mentioned that the dead wolves actually talked back. She looked up at the sky, it was growing gray and dark with storm clouds. She looked back at Silas and blinked. "How long have you lived here?"

"About five months, because after five months of loneliness I went looking for friends." Silas told her. He didn't know what to say next, but he decided he'd take a shot in the dark. "Will you be my friend?"

"Thank you!" Silas said excitedly, getting up on his paws. He made a very loud howl of joy that echoed of into the night. He wasn't alone anymore, and he was happy for that. "So I guess I'll stay here and you come visit?" He knew he couldn't approach the Vaxer pack, because most packs are hostile to loners.

"Yeah, but I can't let the others know, they wouldn't like it," she replied, shuffling her paws in the dirt. Silas looked very happy, and for this she was glad. She didn't like to see anyone hurt or depressed. "I'll definitely come visit you a lot!"
